What’s up, I’m Kevin!
I’m a UX Designer/ Researcher with 3+ years experience in sales and customer service. My professional background has shown me the importance of striking balance between business and customer goals. As such, prioritizing empathy and user needs are the foundation of my design process.
After studying Social Psychology and Business Marketing at the University of California San Diego, I was elated to discover UX Design which shares many similarities in research methodologies and design thinking.
Some of my hobbies…
I have been strength training for over a decade.
It’s a huge part of my life not only for physical health, but for mental health as well; it provides me with a higher sense of self-efficacy.
Some of my earliest memories stem from being in the kitchen, cooking with my mom.
The emotional resonance from those early experiences, remains with me today and influences the food I cook and who I cook for.
As an amateur photographer, I always welcome the opportunity to get out and explore the world around me!
I love to shoot nature landscapes, cityscapes, and abandoned structures.
Photography also introduced me to programs like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Growing up, I was blessed to have prominent figures in my life that had green thumbs.
What I love about gardening, is my ability to grow my own produce - plain and simple.
Tying in with my love for cooking, gardening brings the process full-circle and allows me to emulate the farm-to-table experience.
I take any opportunity I can to get to the real outdoors - where traffic is an abstract concept, cell coverage is few and far between, and the air isn’t thick with smog.
The crisp mountain air, stars shining above, and time well spent with loved ones, is a luxury I hope everyone gets to experience at least once in their life.
